• Sangre de Cristo Outfitters Youth 12-17 Bull Elk Hunt. Five day fully guided hunt on the exclusive 11,600 acre Mountain Meadows Ranch in the Wet Mountains near Westcliffe. Elk hunting is done only on a limited basis as this ranch is part of the DOW Ranching for Wildlife Program and managed for quality. Surrounded by San Isabel National Forest this property is one of the premier trophy elk ranches in CO. An either sex license voucher is included that ordinarily takes 9 preference points to obtain through the DOW limited drawing. Hunt may be taken between Sept 27 and Oct 31, 2008. No hunting was done in this territory for two years and 2008 should produce some excellent trophies. Many bears in excess of 7 feet have been taken here. Expect different color phase bears, from reddish blonde to chocolate brown. This is a guided hunt for one hunter that will share the services of a guide with another hunter on this spot and stalk style of hunt from a remote tent camp.
